It's been raining, so I only have inside pictures for this one...however, the color is very accurate. All of the polishes have a "plastic" or semi-matte (or satin) finish, which I absolutely love. I really like matte glitters and shimmers, but I'm not a big fan of most matte cremes because they just look so flat and make my skin look so shiny and greasy. Plastic finishes, however, are in my opinion absolutely gorgeous, and I really wish that some company made a satin top coat, because I would be all over that. Anyway. Aside from the finish, the color of Viridian Vinyl is very pretty. I don't think it's that unique - Sally Hansen The Real Teal, for example, looks very similar in the bottle - but the plastic finish makes it special. It's also very opaque, which is nice. I barely needed two coats.
In conclusion, if you don't like plastic finishes, stay away, because you can find the color itself elsewhere. But if you're like me and love a good semi-matte, get your hands on this one.
P.S. Oh, and I added some glitter on the second day...because I just can't help myself. :) Sorry for the bad picture.
I never really got into this collection....but now that I see a swatch of it, it seems cooler than I thought? I love the topcoat choice too.
ReplyDeleteLacquer Ware for Tips and Toes- None of them are unique colors, but I adore the finish. And I swear, Only Gold For Me goes with ANYTHING. I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteDid Viridian Vinyl stain your nails yellow? I had awful trouble with this polish! I LOVED the color, the finish was alright (I ended up adding a glitter topcoat too), and was horrified after I took the polish off my nails!
ReplyDeletemyclumsyheart- No, but it would have if I didn't use a base coat! I noticed with all of the Plastix that when I took them off, there were two colors on the cotton pad - the color of the polish and yellow. In fact, I was too lazy to use base coat with Retro Red, and now my nails are a horrible yellow! I don't know if it's the combination of chemicals they use to create the finish or what, but the staining with these is terrible. I sympathize. :(
