Ulta Cyber Monday Haul

Hello all! Just thought I'd do a quick little post today to show you what I got on Ulta's website on Cyber Monday, since it arrived in the mail today. They didn't have a ton of nail polish deals, but they did have Butter London polishes going for 2 for $18, and seeing as that's almost half what they normally cost...let's just say my Butter London collection is now significantly larger.

Yes, I do have alligator and elephant (and giraffe and zebra and rhino) kids' decals on the wall behind my desk...they're fantastic.

Pretty! I can't wait to try out these new beauties - in fact, I'm doing my next manicure with one of them now...and its name might start with a K. ;) Which one do you think I should try next?

Cult Nails Small Haul

Let me qualify my title - I realize that two polishes, for some people, is not a "haul." But I just got Cult Nails Get It On and Wicked Fast in the mail from the $5 sale, and I'm excited. Really, really, really excited. So I'm making a little haul post to share my excitement with all of you.

Look at those little polish burritos! So cute! I really appreciate the care Maria puts into her packaging - not only is the polish bottle cute, they're wrapped cutely - and even better, the paper they're wrapped in is 100% recycled and recyclable, and instead of using environmentally unfriendly packing peanuts, Cult Nails polishes are nestled in cotton balls you can use to take your polish off. Of course, the most important part is what's inside the "burritos" . . .

Ahhh! I can't wait to try these - and while I don't have any more time to do a manicure than I have for the past two weeks I haven't been posting, I'm going to make time just so I can use my new base and top coats. Speaking of not posting for two weeks...I'm sorry about that, I really am. Life has been crazy here, and with classes taking over my life, tests, and three hours of a cappella practice every night last week (our concert was Saturday), I simply haven't had time even to paint my nails, much less post here. In fact, my nails have been bare for over a week. *gasp* Hopefully things will calm down after the three tests I have coming up this week, because I have Zoyas to swatch. I just hope you're not all tired of Beach and Surf already!

Epic Nail Mail!

Today I got a record three nail mail packages. The first is the four polishes I ordered from Cult Nails during their buy three get one free sale - Captivated, Iconic, Living Water, and Let Me Fly.

The second package was a grab bag from the Lacquer Ware for Tips and Toes blogsale. I had no idea what I was getting beforehand, and Chris was very, VERY generous - she even included a gorgeous green franken called Chris' Last Franken! *sniff* The other goodies are Jordana Silver Jewel., Lex Seattle Sunshine, Eyeko Military Polish, Claire's Starstruck, SpaRitual Emerald City, and some frankening supplies. Ignore the stickers...I put those in the wrong photo. Whoops.

The third package is from Annie of Polish This!, and it wins the prize for "package that took the longest to get to me." Annie had trouble getting her package out of Finland, and I thought I was never going to get it until yesterday afternoon, when I got an email saying that she had been to Estonia and had mailed it from there. Then, lo and behold, it was waiting for me this afternoon with my other packages! Her prize included the nail stickers in the above picture, GOSH Yellow Doll, GOSH Sweet Rose, IsaDora Jaded, IsaDora Coral, Snowcrystal Green lagoon, Lumene Go Glittery!, Lumene Make Impact, and some very yummy Finnish candy - I'm quite surprised that I haven't eaten it all yet! :)

Quite a haul, don't you think! Feel free to be jealous! ;)

Hauling, Hauling, Hauling...

I've accumulated quite a bit of nail stuff in the past week, so I thought I'd dedicate a post to sharing it with you all. First, I got the polishes from my first swap, which I did with victoriancherub on MUA. From that, I got China Glaze Mummy May I and Zombie Zest. Then, I got Chez-Delaney plates B118, M72, M74, M77, M70, M81, and A09, which I won in a Confessions of a Polishaholic giveaway - those aren't pictured because I couldn't get a picture in which the reflections weren't making the images impossible to see. Finally, yesterday, my mom and I went to Springfield (the nearest town with any proper stores) to shop, and I bought nine polishes there. I also made a franken this morning, and the last picture is a bottle shot of that.

Icing Mint 2 Be, Icing Electric Feeling, Icing True Beauty, Icing Glamourama
China Glaze Mummy May I, China Glaze Zombie Zest, China Glaze Atlantis
Finger Paints Curator's Crimson, Finger Paints Romanticism Ruby, Seche Vite, Seche Rebuild
franken

Whew! That's a lot of stuff...I don't think I've ever gotten that much polish in one week before. I'm wearing the layering that I did over Rimmel Night Before right now, and I'll post on it tomorrow. I want to spread my posts out, because I'm going to be keeping my current mani on for as long as possible because I absolutely love it! I hope your week gets off to a good start tomorrow morning - I, for one, wish the weekend could last a few more days!

So this is what happens...

...when I go to Ulta.

I was out of town today for an appointment with my optometrist, and while I was in the area I thought I'd go to an Ulta because there isn't one where I live. Of course, I picked up nearly every polish in sight, but I managed to narrow it down to seven: Orly Enchanted Forest, Orly Happily Ever After, Orly Retro Red, Orly Old School Orange, Sula Paint and Peel Moss, OPI My Private Jet, and Piggy Polish Just Before Dawn. I was absolutely thrilled to see that Ulta had an Orly Plastix display, because for some reason my nearest Sally's doesn't have them. Unfortunately, all the Viridian Vinyl and Purple Pleather polishes were gone...I guess I wasn't the only one who liked them best. Anyway, you can look forward (or not) to seeing these soon!
