OPI Show It and Glow It!

Okay, OPI...could you please stop making polish names with exclamation points at the end? It's really annoying. Thanks. Anyway, OPI Show It and Glow It!, part of the Burlesque collection, is a mostly purple, multicolored glitter. The sun refused to come out this morning, so I don't have any pictures of this one in the sun - if the sun does come out later, I'll update this post with a picture. Here are three coats with two coats of Rush top coat:

 outdoors, shade
indoors, artificial light

I really, really love this one, as I have all the other Burlesque glitters - it's glittery and gorgeous and wonderful and everything I'd hoped it would be. Unfortunately, I'm getting to the point where I won't want to wear glitters for a while after I finish up with Sparkle-icious. I love glitters, but after five glitters in a row, I get kind of burned out.

Also, I want to thank you all so much for your well wishes. I'm not feeling better yet, but I continue to vegetate and hope that I do improve soon. I really do appreciate all your comments, though, and I want to make sure you know that - each one puts a smile on my face. Have a great Monday! <3

  1. This color is really really pretty, I made the pics bigger and the different colors of glitter are amazing! But yes, really OPI? Another exclamation? Are you sure?

  2. So pretty and glittery! If glitter polish isn't a pain to get off, I'd be wearing them all the time!

Mind you, never were them for too long especially on toes, because if you put like 4 coats of glitter, glitter gets too thick, no oxygen and your nails will turn black.

  7. Twister- Thanks!

AggiePigeon- I know, isn't it amazing? And you'd think OPI would get tired of all that punctuation after a while...but I guess not.

Stylishly yours- I'm pretty sure that's not actually the case - nails don't need oxygen to live; they're just dead cells. That doesn't mean you don't need to take care of them, but they don't need to "breathe" like many people believe. Check out this post: http://productbody.blogspot.com/2008/07/do-nails-breathe.html

    Lois- Me either! :)

Aurora's Nails- Haha, I don't either! That's why my post was so short...I feel kind of bad for shorting it, but I just don't know what to say!

Tilly- Thank you! I think it may be my favorite...it's between this one and Glow Up Already!.

Rosy and Angy- Thank you! I'm not sure if they're available overseas or not. You could probably get them on transdesign.com, though; I think they ship internationally.

  9. I know I couldn't stand wearing glitters as much as you have been lately! I'm sure I want any of the Burlesque glitters, though the shimmery ones look nice. What is Rush topcoat and where did you get it?

  10. That is S.P.A.R.K.L.Y. I hope you totally enjoy wearing it ....and....use the foil method for removal so you don't have a glitter bomb. lol That has to be a fun mani to wear. ;)

  11. Susie- Thank you! :)

Serena- Haha, it is a lot of sparkle! :) Rush top coat is a quick-dry top coat that I got at Sally Beauty Supply. It's much, much cheaper than all the other quick-dry top coats I know of - $5 for a 30 mL bottle - and it dries really, really fast.

Lacquer Ware for Tips and Toes- Haha, yes it is! I am enjoying wearing it...unfortunately, my thumbnail just chipped, so it's got to come off. :) I started using the foil method for the first time with these, and I don't know why I never tried it before!

  12. Hope you're continuing to get better! Change of season germs seem pretty tough; I'm still a bit stuffed up from the ones I got a couple weeks ago.

I've decided to start pretending punctuation at the end of polish names doesn't exist since it annoys me to have a question mark or exclamation point in the middle of a sentence if I want to write about the colors.

  13. KarenD- Thank you! I'm tempted to ignore punctuation as well...it just looks so stupid. :)
