China Glaze Starboard

This is the final one of the China Glaze Anchors Away polishes I got in the giveaway. I could have posted it yesterday, because it's green, but I thought I'd post Green Ocean and Irish Spring since they were a little more St. Patrick-y. Anyway, I have Starboard for you today, and I love it (though I have to think...why no Port?). This is two coats without top coat.

 outdoors, sunlight
 outdoors, shade
indoors, artificial light

I think Starboard is my favorite polish out of the ones that I have from Anchors Away. It doesn't seem particularly unique, but I don't have a dupe in my collection and the formula is perfect, so I'm very happy to have it. Like Below Deck, Starboard is incredibly shiny all on its own. Maybe it's just me, but I also think it has a slightly jellylike squishy quality to it, even though it's opaque in two coats. And I just have to mention one more time that I am seriously astonished at how shiny this is on its own. It looks like I used Seche Vite, which is the glassiest top coat I've used. China Glaze definitely hit the mark on this one.

  3. This colour looks so good on you!
I definitely agree with you on the jelly-like quality of this. I found that all of the Anchors Away polishes that I tried had a little bit of squish to them, but because of the dusty, creamy quality I think of them more as marshmallow than jelly. xD

  4. Marshmallow is a good word! I much prefer it to "sorbet," haha. :)
