China Glaze Riveter Rouge

Last week, I finally managed to get my hands on two of the polishes from the China Glaze's fall collection, Vintage Vixen! While I still don't have any money, my mom was very gracious and bought me Riveter Rouge and Midnight Mission. Today, I decided on wearing Riveter Rouge - and while I'm still wearing the Nailene nails* from yesterday (with the design filed off), I cut and filed them down a bit because I just can't stand having my nails that long. It makes me feel like I can't do anything. :) Anyway, on to the polish! This was two easy coats with top coat, and I added a sticker* from Nailene Bedazzle pack.

outside, sun

I love this polish! It's a gorgeous rusty red with red and gold microglitter, and applies very easily, becoming opaque in two thin coats. The most accurate of my photos is the last, but they all look fairly close to what the polish looks like in various lighting. I also have a soft spot for Riveter Rouge because I've always loved Rosie the Riveter, and I can definitely see this being a "vintage" polish. Now I'm wishing it was fall, but if it was I wouldn't have these pictures to show you:

These are from a big pot of petunias outside my house. I love petunias and just thought I'd share them with you. Have a great Monday!

*This product was provided to me by the manufacturer for review. However, this has not influenced and will never influence my review(s) - I will always say what I truly think about a product.

  2. nice colour, I haven't seen the new collection out yet (Haven't been to a Sally's in a while) but the red really looks nice with your skin tone. I wanna try brown and shimmer shades of this collection.

  3. Awwww... you filed the design off! Maybe I'm just not used to your press on nails but I think I like your natural ones better. :D Fun while it lasts, though! That red looks so good. But I've seen it in person and it doesn't look good on me. So I'm glad it works for you!! I CANNOT wait to see Midnight Mission on you - I haven't gotten mine out yet.

Miss Zara, have you gotten something from me in the mail yet? It's been a while. : /

  6. Ali's Nail News- Thanks, and I'm glad you like Riveter Rouge! Oh, and you're very welcome for the award. :)

Danielle- Thanks! I hope you get to pick some of the VVs up soon.

Miss Bun- I actually like my natural nails better, too - I just want to wait as long as possible before taking these off, because I hate the whole process. I will probably be wearing Midnight Mission tomorrow, so you won't have to wait long for that! And sadly I have not received my package from you...I really don't know how long it normally takes for a package to get from Hong Kong to Missouri, but I'm hoping it will arrive soon.

    Aurora's Nails- Haha, thanks!

    Freshie- You should be! LOL

AggiePigeon- I know; I don't have anything quite like it! I love those sparkly reds. :)

  11. The red really is beautiful!

I have a red polish in my room right now. But it's such an icky neon color when I put it on. It hurts to look at. :/
But, I love this one. And that star on one finger is too cute!

Best wishes from one blogger to another,

Alexisaurus- I apologize to your wallet! But I'm glad you like the colors I wear. :) And if I could send you a bouquet of the petunias and not have them be disgusting by the time they got to you, I would. :) Thanks for commenting!

Orlica- I would say that should definitely change! And I will check out your challenge.

Zabrinah- Thanks, I think so too! I'm not sure how I would feel about a neon red...hm...
