Halloween Mani #1

Yesterday I did some Halloween nail art on my left hand for an entry into Polish Freshie's Halloween contest/giveaway. I used the Halloween mix and match post on Nails by Asami as reference for the spiderweb. Here's the result:

The base color for all of these is two coats of China Glaze Midnight Mission.
Thumb: I used a toothpick and an unnamed Sally Girl white.
Index: I used a white L.A. Colors Art Deco striper.
Middle: I used Rimmel Black Satin for the headstone and Icing Spotlight for the "RIP."
Ring: I used an unnamed Charlotte Russe polish for the ghost, and toothpicked the eyes and mouth in Rimmel Black Satin.
Pinkie: I used one coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure.

I'm fairly satisfied with this manicure, though I do wish I'd made the gravestone rounder, and dark grey instead of black. I have no idea what I'd do with my right hand if I wore it out, though, because I don't think I could do much with my left hand. I guess I could try...anyway, the letters are a bit shaky, but that doesn't bother me that much - I think it just makes it look a bit more Halloween-y.

I will continue doing pink and green manicures for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Depression Awareness Month for the rest of October. However, they will be interspersed with more Halloween manicures, and I will probably be wearing some other colors as well. I recently won a massive giveaway prize on Also Known As... and then a bottle of Chanel Paradoxal from Frazzle and Aniploish, so while I will try not to wear them all at once out of sheer excitement, some of them will be making an appearance. Here's a picture of my prize from the Also Known As... giveaway. I tried to get them all on the white paper background, but you can still see a bit of my keyboard...oh well.

Top row, left to right: American Apparel Peacock, American Apparel Butter, American Apparel Dynasty, Ulta Devious, Ulta Material Girl, China Glaze Thataway, and Milani Rad Purple. Bottom row, left to right: Orly Beverly Hills Manicure set, Nina Ultra Pro Sweet Nothings, Color Club Overboard, Color Club Sexsea, Color Club Yachty, Yachty, Yadda, Color Club Regatta Red, and Color Club Charity Ball. The giveaway also included Incoco Dry Nail Appliques in Oscar Night and Passion, but I forgot to take a picture of those. Oops. I'm really excited to try all of these - I've never tried American Apparel, Ulta, Milani, Color Club, or Incoco before, so I'm especially happy to have those. Thanks, Kellie!

  4. Sammiebbz- Thank you! I actually have a tremor in my hand (hence the wobbly letters), so I bet you could do it with some practice. :)
