OPI Simmer & Shimmer

Today I have another of the Burlesque glitters, Simmer & Shimmer. It's kind of like Mad as a Hatter's more silvery, New Year's Eve-y cousin. It's also like Glow Up Already! (I hate that exclamation point with a passion - so awkward), which I showed you yesterday, except it's blue and silver rather than green and gold. Fortunately, it does reach near full, glittery opaque goodness in three coats - there are a couple spots where I can see my natural nail, but only if I squint. :)

Please excuse the pink flash at the bottom of the bottle shot - that would be my shirt. Oops. Also, no indoor shots because I'm at my grandma's house and can't find adequate lighting. Anyway...Simmer & Shimmer is absolutely gorgeous, and I love it. A lot. I have a feeling I'm going to say the exact same thing about the rest of the glitters I got, too. Like Glow Up Already! (I still hate that exclamation point), it shows more of it's "colored" side in some lights and more of it's "metallic" side in others. I actually quite like this effect, and I imagine it would work well in dim lighting - New Year's Eve party, anyone? I will definitely be wearing this more when it gets cold and snowy, which can't happen soon enough for me!

I'm not sure I'll be posting tomorrow (though I may), as I'm taking the SAT and will probably be extremely worn out. Sorry for the kind of fragmented post today; my mind is sort of all over the place. TGIF, and I hope you're having a good one!

  3. KarenD- Hehe, I'm glad it's not just me! :) And if you're going to get it, I would advise doing so while you can still find it...part of the reason I snatched these up so quickly is that I didn't want to pay the kind of money I did for Mad as a Hatter and Absolutely Alice.

Janna- Thank you, and yes, they are! I'm glad you noticed; I'm very excited. :)

    Twister- Thanks!

Tasha- Haha, it is a lot of glitter! I'm jealous that you don't have to do the SAT...do you not have to do any standardized tests? I really don't know how it works across the border. :)
